Jalagam Srisha Scholarship Program for Underprivileged Children

This scholarship program was started in 1995 in the memory of Late Smt Jalagam Srisha Rama Rao, to educated underprivileged, especially for woman as they most disadvantage and are the people to support the family. This scholarship has been giving deserving girl students and exceptional boys from economical backward families study scholarships to an average of 25 students every year so for around 500 children have been sponsored under this scholarship program.

Those students who have been educated under this scheme have achieved good living standards and settled comfortable in their lifes with jobs overseas and married in good households.

Also many students under this scholarship have been given laptops, mobiles, and fees for competitive exams to enhance their capabilities.

Warm clothing

Since 2015 during winter months warm clothing, such as woollen blankets, head caps have been given to tribal people in Khammam district an average of 1000 every year.



Medical Camps

Medical Camps such has general medical check ups have been organised every year in remote tribal areas to raise awareness of personal hygiene and health care. An ambulance service is also being provided for the people in remote areas to access emergency medical service.

Irrigation projects

In 2019, three tribal villages of Mangalgutta, Tallapaya and Ringireddypalli of Mulakalapalli Mandal , of Bhadradri Kothagudem district, have been identified for improving irrigation facilities for the tribals. Filter points have been provided Pamaleru vagu and facilitated the provision of 3 phase power supply to these villages. And JVRC Trust has provided 3 phase pump sets, along with starters and other accessories to 30 benefices with a cost of 5lakhs. This access to water to the tribal villages will reform their economic independence and upliftment. JVRC Trust has coordinated with The Northern Power Distribution Company of Telangana Limited(TSNPDCL) persons and facilitated the provision of electricity to these underprivileged tribal villages.

This is proposed to be extended to other deserving villages in the years to come in a phased wise manner.
